This site is dedicated to the first person shooter games based in the Halo universe created and published by Bungie Studios, 343 Industries and Microsoft Studios. This site will not, nor is it intended to make you an expert on all things Halo.
The Halo series was inspired by Larry Niven's Ringworld and is one of the most popular video games of all time with over forty million copies sold and over three billion dollars in revenue generated for its creators.
The Halo series covers (currently) six video games with a seventh, eighth and ninth in development, eight novels, three graphic novels, several Marvel Comics series, a series of anime shorts collected as "Halo Legends", and an award winning machinima series by Rooster Teeth Productions called "Red vs Blue." Although the project was never completed Halo was (and by some accounts still is) slated to be made into a feature film. Once tapped to direct the film Neil Blomkamp created a live action Halo short called "Landfall" that is a particular fan favorite.
Simply put the Halo franchise is a worldwide phenomenon that has impacted the lives of millions. Here at this site you will gain a basic working knowledge of the universe.
